Dalin Bullock Announced Vice President, Academic

June 25, 2025

Olds College of Agriculture & Technology is pleased to announce Dalin Bullock as the Vice President, Academic, effective July 1, 2025. Bullock is well-known across the campus community for his commitment to student success, program innovation and responsible, responsive education.

For the past nine months, Bullock has been serving as the Interim Vice President, Academic, and gained a thorough understanding of the significance of this role and the importance of leading the academic division — specifically as Olds College launches its new three-year strategic plan.

“I’m honoured to be named the Vice President, Academic at Olds College,” says Bullock. “Learners are at the heart of Olds College and their experience defines who we are as a post-secondary institution. We will continue to strive for academic excellence, develop a leading-edge curriculum to support our current and future students, and enhance all learning experiences on campus and in the classroom. I’m excited to continue working closely with our incredible faculty that are passionate about their field of study and care deeply about students.”

Bullock joined Olds College in 2004 and has over 20 years of experience in post-secondary leadership. Before stepping into the Vice President, Academic position, Bullock was the Dean of the School of Life Science and Business for eight years. His robust work experience at the College also includes positions as an Instructor and Program Coordinator, Business Programs; Interim Vice President, Student and Support Services; Interim Associate Vice President, Student Services; Dean, School of Agriculture; and Manager of Continuing Education.

“We are excited to officially welcome Dalin as the Vice President, Academic,” says Dr. Debbie Thompson, President and CEO of Olds College. “We are extremely fortunate to have a leadership team focused on our priorities of purposeful leadership in agricultural education, supporting our students and people, and strengthening partnerships. Dalin’s passion for student success, and his dedication to faculty and staff, will help drive the College forward as we implement our strategic plan and continue to position Olds College as a leader in agriculture and technology education.”

Bullock was raised on a mixed farm where he developed a love for agriculture. He then pursued his career with a focus on agriculture and received his Master in Science in Agricultural Systems and Technology following his Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business and Business Administration. Bullock previously worked with Alberta Agriculture as a Marketing Specialist before starting in post-secondary at Fairview College where he was an instructor and Dean of Agriculture.

Dalin and his wife, Kathleen, live in the community and have eight children — with the youngest still at home. The entire family enjoys spending time outdoors and is actively involved in their church.

Join us in congratulating Dalin Bullock, Vice President, Academic at Olds College.
