Empowering Tomorrow: Highlights from the Career Fair

The winter Career Fair held on Tuesday, February 6 in the Alumni Centre and Learning Commons brought together 76 employers, including 21 premium employers, and attracted a crowd of 600 students eager to explore their future career prospects.

During the event, students had the opportunity to interact with a diverse group of companies from various industries, including agriculture, agriculture technology, animal health, horticulture, hospitality and tourism and much more. One enthusiastic student remarked, "I liked that so many different companies were at this fair. It provided a lot of opportunities to network and gather information about future employment opportunities." This sentiment was echoed by others who eagerly exchanged contact information and engaged in lively conversations with recruiters.

Employers, too, were impressed by the calibre of students they encountered. One employer expressed their delight, saying, "We really enjoyed talking to the students and getting to see their excitement for the programs they are in." It was evident that both students and employers alike found value in the connections forged during the fair.

The Career Fair served as a hub of opportunity, bridging the gap between students and potential employers. With a plethora of networking opportunities and insightful conversations, it was an event that left a lasting impact on all who participated. As students departed with newfound insights and employers with promising leads, the Career Fair concluded, marking yet another successful chapter in the journey towards future career success.
