Olds College Welcomes New Energy Industry Chair, Noel Millions

Olds College is pleased to welcome Noel Millions as the new Energy Industry Chair for the Surface Land Management major in the Land and Water Diploma program. The role will act as a liaison between the industry and Olds College, focused on identifying future industry trends to assist in the development of curriculum, support program recruitment marketing initiatives, as well as building strong relationships with external stakeholders, including indigneous communities.

I am committed to supporting students in fostering strong working relationships and partnerships between the energy sectors, transportation industries, as well as landowner and Indigenous groups,” comments Noel. “These partnerships play a foundational role in how our industries sustain access to land. I’m thankful for Glenn Miller,  for his leadership and commitment to this role over the last five years and the impact it had on the program.”

Noel is an Olds College alumni of the Land Agent programs graduating class of 1996. Currently he co- owns and operates Bask Ventures Inc., a consulting company that provides land, Indigenous, mediation and executive coaching services. Prior to joining Bask Ventures in 2020,  he held a number of positions over his 17 years at Encana Corporation, including Sr. Government Relations Advisor and Surface Land Manager. Noel currently holds the position of Past President for the Canadian Association of Petroleum Landmen and is a Mediator for the Alberta Justice Civil Mediation Program.
