Board Member inducted into Canadian Agriculture Hall of Fame

Olds College would like to congratulate Mabel Hamilton, Board Member on her induction into the Canadian Agriculture Hall of Fame. 

Mabel owns and operates Belvin Angus, a purebred Angus operation, with her husband Gavin. She is also an active agriculture advocate, and has become an influential leader in the Canadian Beef industry over her 40 year career. 

Nominated for the Canadian Agriculture Hall of Fame by the Canadian Angus Association, the prestigious honour is added to Mabel’s incredible list of accomplishments including be awarded the Canadian Cattlemen of the Year with her husband Gavin, Woman of the Year in Agriculture from Alberta Beef Magazine, Alberta Agricultural Hall of Fame inductee, Honorary President of the Canadian Angus Association and Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. 

The College would also like to congratulate Maurice Delage, Agribusiness leader, hybrid canola visionary and member of the Olds College Producer Panel for his induction into the Canadian Agriculture Hall of Fame. 

Olds College is proud to have highly respected and knowledgeable agriculture leaders working alongside the College, as we develop and grow agriculture education and applied research.
