Celebrate Convocation in Person

Join in on our celebrations for the Graduates and Graduands of Convocation 2024! Your support has played a pivotal role their success!

Ceremony Instructions for Guests:

  • We recommend that you arrive early to secure a seat at the 2024 Convocation Event. 

  • We ask that as a courtesy to your fellow students that you limit your guests in attendance to no more than five individuals. 

  • Guests are reminded to not leave their seats during the ceremony out of respect for the students.

  • Professional stage crossing photographs will be posted on our website. 

Getting to the Ceremony

Guests can access the Ralph Klein Centre one hour before the ceremony start time. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. We ask that guests remain seated for the duration of the ceremony to ensure everyone can enjoy the ceremony and see their graduate cross the stage. 

Convocation Location

All convocation ceremonies are held in the Ralph Klein Centre.

Parking

The closest public parking lot is Lot D. Parking is complimentary for the day of convocation.
There will be shuttle busses to take guests to and from the Ralph Klein Centre.

Graduation Gifts

Yes, in the foyer of the Ralph Klein Centre, a vendor will be selling convocation flowers. The Olds College Campus Store will have Olds College merchandise and swag for sale.

Guest with Special Needs

Guests with special needs may be dropped off at the Ralph Klein Centre. There is limited seating reserved for those with special needs. 

Letters of invitation for international guests

International guests, who require a visa, may be asked to provide a letter of invitation to obtain their visa. This letter is written by the graduand. Please refer to the Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) website for guidance on what to include in your invitation letter.
