  • Agritechnica is the world's leading trade fair for agricultural technology, serving as a key platform for innovation and knowledge exchange in the sector.
  • The event draws a global audience, with more than 470,000 visitors from 149 countries attending in 2023. It features over 2,800 exhibitors from 52 countries, showcasing advancements in agricultural machinery, precision farming, sustainability and digital technologies.
  • Students will get hands-on exposure to the latest global ag technologies, connect with industry leaders and explore career opportunities — all while experiencing Germany’s rich culture and agriculture.

Germany Ag Tour: Featuring Agritechnica 2025

Pricing based on group size (land only — flights will be an additional cost)

  • 30+ people – $2,479 per person
  • 25–29 people – $2,668 per person
  • 20–24 people – $2,951 per person

International flights will be arranged once the group size is confirmed. The average round-trip cost to Germany is $1,500–$1,680 per person.

Important payment details:

  • Deposit of $500 per person due before May 1, 2025
  • Second deposit of $500 per person due before July 31, 2025
  • Final payment required before Sept. 5, 2025

Note: If this trip is funded through an agricultural business, such as a family farm or other operation, a portion of the cost may qualify as a tax-deductible expense.

Daily Itinerary

  • Overnight flight (suggested schedule): KLM Airlines

    • 3:40 p.m. – Depart Calgary International Airport (YYC)

    • Travel time: 8 hours 45 minutes (overnight)

    • 8:25 a.m. (+1 day) – Arrive at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS)

    • Arrive in Amsterdam, meet coach and transfer to Münster
    • Check-in and free time to freshen up after the flight from Canada
    • Welcome dinner in Münster
    • Overnight in Münster
  • Visit CLAAS Factory, Harsewinkel (to be confirmed)

    • The main CLAAS factory has produced combines since 1936, with over 400,000 machines built. After a major restructuring completed in 2003, the facility is now one of the world’s most advanced production plants for combines and agricultural choppers.

    Visit Bockerode Farm (to be confirmed)

    • An arable farm focused on balancing economy and ecology. Crops include sugar beets, wheat, barley, potatoes and silage maize, alongside forestry operations and participation in a biogas plant.

    Overnight in Bremen

  • Morning: Bremen walking tour of the historic quarter, followed by free time to explore

    • Bremen, a city on the Weser River in northwest Germany, is known for its maritime trade history, Hanseatic architecture and Market Square. Highlights include the ornate Gothic town hall, the Roland statue symbolizing free trade, and St. Peter’s Cathedral with its medieval crypts and twin spires.

    Afternoon: Beck’s Brewery tour and tasting

    • The tour offers insights into the brewing process and the history of Beck’s and Haake-Beck. Visitors explore the museum, brewhouse, fermentation and storage tanks, and bottling plant before sampling beers in the guest room.

    Overnight in Bremen

  • Morning: Depart for Bergen-Belsen concentration camp

    • Originally a prisoner-of-war camp, Bergen-Belsen became a Nazi concentration camp in 1943. Beginning in late 1944, large numbers of prisoners evacuated from other camps were sent here. About 50,000 people died at Bergen-Belsen, including Anne Frank.

    Afternoon: Visit the Volkswagen factory in Wolfsburg

    • Volkswagen Group includes brands such as Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Bentley and Lamborghini. The 60-minute orientation tour provides an overview of the Autostadt, its history, philosophy and architecture.

  • Full-day visit to Agritechnica 2025

    • With 24 pavilions and more than 100 acres of exhibition space, planning is key to making the most of the event.

    Lunch on your own at the fairgrounds

    5 p.m.: Meet at the coach for transfer back to Wolfsburg

    7:30 p.m.: Walk to dinner in Wolfsburg

  • Full-day visit to Agritechnica 2025

    • With more than 2,800 exhibitors from 47 countries across 24 halls covering 100 acres, Agritechnica offers a full day of exploration.

    Agritechnica Young Farmers Evening (requested; details to be confirmed in summer)

    • The Young Farmers Party is part of Young Professionals Day, a networking event for students, trainees and young professionals in the agricultural industry. The day includes career insights, live demonstrations and networking opportunities.

    Overnight in Wolfsburg

  • Transfer to Hanover Airport for return flight to Calgary via Amsterdam

    Suggested flight:

    • 10:35 a.m.: Depart Hannover Airport (HAJ) (travel time: 1 hour 5 minutes)

    • 11:40 a.m.: Arrive at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS) 

    • 1 hour layover in Amsterdam

    • 12:40 p.m.: Depart Amsterdam (travel time: 9 hours)

    • 1:40 p.m.: Arrive at Calgary International Airport (YYC)
