New Student Orientation

Your first week can be stressful, so we've created events and activities to help you feel at home and confident about your new surroundings!

Online Orientation

Note: All returning students who are not beginning a new program should follow their schedules and attend classes as usual.

  • This required online orientation provides you with information about services & support on campus, campus housing information, and RESPECT training. All Olds College of Agriculture & Technology students must complete this orientation before their program starts. It doesn’t take long and will provide you with a lot of very helpful information!

  • Start the International Student Orientation Course before your arrival in Canada, then some modules will be completed after your arrival. If you have any questions, contact International Services.

First Week: What to Do & What to Know

  • Participate in Welcome Week activities. You can add them to your calendar here!

  • Ensure your tuition and fees are paid. Note: Tuition fees for Sept. 3 Fall term courses are due on Aug. 26.

  • Parking at Olds College is limited and purchased on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Apply for parking.

  • Log into MyOldsCollege to view your schedule and ensure your contact information is up-to-date.

  • Buy textbooks, course materials and additional supplies. Visit the campus store in person on Olds College main campus, or avoid line-ups and order your textbooks online.

  • Get your ID Card - your multi-purpose student ID card.  Once your photo has been approved, you will receive a confirmation email and can pick it up at the Learning Resource Centre.

  • Review the Admitted Student Checklist to make sure you’re prepared for the upcoming term!
