The Office Administration program, which I am taking, is very hands-on. In the Fall Semester we took classes to prepare us for field placements starting in January:
- Proofreading and editing
- Keyboarding & preparing business documents.
- Office procedures and communications
- Office 2007 Suite
Now we are into the Winter Semester. We are still taking classes, but the exciting thing is that we get to put all our newfound skills to the test by working 6 hours a week in a real office!

And we have our own office, called Write 2 Type. We each have a rotation working in this office, when we aren’t working in other offices in the college. People in the college and the community bring work in for us to do for them. You can see some of my classmates working away at the jobs.
