SENIOR RESIDENT ASSISTANTS
The Campus & Resident Life Department has student positions available for Resident Assistants in Frank Grisdale Hall and the Townhouse Complex. Opportunities are also available for Senior Resident Assistants in Frank Grisdale Hall. Senior Resident Assistants and Resident Assistants support the promotion of an environment which is safe and secure, conducive to academic pursuits and personal growth, fun and enjoyable. The term of employment will be for the period from August 19, 2013 to April 30, 2014 with an average of 60 work hours per month.
Responsibilities will include providing information and enforcing Residence policies to students, responding to personal and medical situations, assisting with check-ins, check-outs, room inspections and maintenance requests. The successful candidates will also be responsible for planning and implementing programs for residents, encouraging participation in social, athletic and recreational events, and other duties as required.
The ideal candidates will be highly motivated, positive individuals with excellent communication, interpersonal and team skills. Demonstrated experience with conflict management would be a definite asset. Leadership development and supervisory experience would be an asset for Senior Resident Assistant positions. The successful candidates will be registered as Olds College students and are required to live in either a single room in Frank Grisdale Hall or in the Townhouse Complex.
