Hourly Wage: $40.00
The Campus Life Department has opportunities available for individuals to work on a casual / call-in basis. The successful individuals will be participants in a pool of on-call nursing staff who will provide services in the absence of the Coordinator.
Reporting to the Manager, Campus Life, the casual / call-in Nurse will be responsible for the delivery of nursing and health services to Olds College students. This will include the assessment and where appropriate, referral of physical and mental health issues, health issues education, the identification and resolution of public health issues, and assistance to the academic schools and to student housing in identifying accommodations, as required. In addition, the Nurse will respond to emergency situations on campus where Olds College staff, students, and visitors require first aid.
A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing and a minimum of three years of related work experience in a broad range of nursing is required. The successful candidates will be registered or eligible for registration with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA) with no restrictions. Current CPR and AED or a willingness to attain these certifications upon hire, is required.
