There’s no real question that music is effective with children and youth. It can be calming and pacifying or energizing and inspiring. Learn about the different techniques and approaches used by trained music therapists in a pediatric setting to achieve specific goals for individual children.

Level I Activity: This activity presents an overview of Music Therapy and would best meet the needs of families and/or professionals with little to no knowledge of, or experience with this topic.

This session is presented by the Community Education Service of the Child and Adolescent Addictions and Mental Health Portfolio (CAAMHP) of Alberta Health Services & The Therapeutic Arts Program at the Alberta Children’s Hospital.

Me and my friend were wondering if it would be okay if we came to this, due to the fact we are both only fifteen. We’re interested in this kind of career path once we graduate, and we’d like to learn more about it.
