Presented by: Fiona Haynes, Schizophrenia Society of Alberta & Suzan Desserud, Artist, Actor, and Presenter who lives with Schizophrenia

This presentation will help participants understand the lived human experience of  schizophrenia, its true impacts on children, adolescents and their families. Participants will also have the opportunity to hear from a person in recovery from the disorder about what is critical to the continuing health and wellbeing of a person affected by a serious mental illness, and what they can really be capable of.

Level I Activity: This activity presents an overview of Schizophrenia and would best meet the needs of families and/or professionals with little to no knowledge of, or experience with this topic.

This session is presented by the Community Education Service of the Child and Adolescent Addictions and Mental Health Portfolio (CAAMHP) of Alberta Health Services in partnership with Schizophrenia Society of Alberta.

Hi, I registered for “Early Onset – The Real Impacts of Schizophrenia on Children and Youth” but was unable to attend the ACH due to workload issues. Are there any handouts or PPT that can be emailed to me by chance?
