
International Student Admission
Students seeking admission to Olds College should apply at least four to six months in advance of the semester in which they wish to commence studies. International students are required to attend on a full-time basis (nine credits or more per semester) and are not eligible for part-time studies.
A valid Study Permit must be submitted to the Student Recruitment Office on or before Registration Day.

Results
- Olds College requires a Credential Assessment of your out of country academic transcripts. You must have your transcripts assessed by the International Qualification Assessment Service (IQAS) or similar Recognized International Transcript Assessment Service
- Please Note: The IQAS requirement will be waived for students who have completed their education in the United States and United Kingdom or upon the discretion of the Student Recruitment Office. (Please Submit Transcripts directly to Olds College via fax 403 556-4711, scan and email admit@oldscollege.ca or by mail to the address below)
- Meet English Language Proficiency Requirement
- The language of instruction at Olds College is English. Unless noted elsewhere, Olds College program applicants must demonstrate English language competence in order to be eligible for admission to the program. Applicants whose first language is other than English must demonstrate they have completed at least three years of academic study conducted in the English language. Applicants who do not meet this requirement may demonstrate language proficiency through successful completion of a recognized English language assessment test.
- English language assessments and the corresponding scores recognized by Olds College are as follows:
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) Internet Based score of at least 79
- International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of at least 6.0
- Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL) score of at least 60
- Canadian Language Benchmark Assessment (CLBA) score of at least 8.0
NOTES
- Applications will remain pending until ALL required documentation is received.
- Applications are not carried over from one year to the next. You must submit a new application form along with all other necessary documentation each time you apply for admission to Olds College.

FEES
- International students pay 1.25 times the fees for instruction plus all other fees associated with their stay at Olds College.
- International students are required to pay a $1.75 per day International Health Insurance fee.

ADMITTED INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Admitted applicants are responsible for all of their visa, study permit, travel and financial arrangements. A valid Study Permit must be presented on or before Registration Day for applicable programs. Information on Studying in Canada and to apply for a Study Permit please go to the Citizenship and Immigration Canada web site.
NOTE: International students who are required to complete work experience relevant to their program must also obtain the appropriate work permit. Further clarification on international student employment may be obtained from Citizenship and Immigration Canada, Canada Immigration Centers or from the International Office.
