96th Olds College Graduation Ceremony

You are invited to participate with your classmates, on Saturday, June 16, in the honour and festivities of Graduation 2012.
Some events and activities are scheduled to take place at the Health & Wellness Facility in the Ralph Klein Centre and the Olds College Alumni Centre. There is ample free parking available on the campus grounds. Please check the College Website for the Campus Maps www.oldscollege.ca. No parking passes are required on weekends.
Gowning and Ceremony Information for Graduating Students
All graduating students and guests are expected to enter the facility through the west entry to the Ralph Klein Centre, which will be clearly marked. Gowning will start at 12:30 p.m. While in the gowning areas, graduates will receive a graduation gown and stol to wear during the Ceremony. You must return the gown to the same area once the Ceremony is over. Please do not bring personal items (such as purses) to the gowning area. There is no limit to the number of guests you may invite to the ceremony. There is no charge for the ceremony.
You will be handed a DIPLOMA CASE, only, as you cross the platform during the ceremony. You will be able to pick up your parchment (provided you have met all your graduation requirements and are not indebted to Olds College) once you have returned the graduation gown back to the Collection point in the gowning area.
Dress for the occasion is semi-formal. We suggest, for comfort, that women wear simple cool dresses or day-wear for the ceremony and men wear dress pants (no shorts – your bare legs will show under the gown) with shirt and tie. It is possible to take personal pictures during the ceremony. A photographer will be available before and after the ceremony to take professional photos. No advance appointments are necessary.

Following the Ceremony there will be light refreshments available in the Multi-Purpose Room of the Ralph Klein Centre or outdoors in the tent, weather permitting
Graduation Champagne Brunch
Your Students Association is putting on a Graduation Champagne Brunch in the Alumni Centre. Come for the food and to see your friends! Bring your family!
It’s first come – first served, so get your tickets early.
- Tickets must be purchased in advance, first-come, first-served
- $20.00 (non-refundable) per person
- Kids 5 years and under are free
Tickets are available in April from the Cashier’s Desk in Business Services Office in DMP. Fax or mail or drop off your ticket order.

Accommodation
A block of rooms at Olds College Residence is set aside for graduates and their families for the nights of June 15 and 16, 2012.
- A single room is $43.60 per night
- A double occupancy room is $32.70 per person per night
- Meals are available on an a-la-carte basis only
